wheheheh just some WIP pics I took while making a Noctis sword for my friend Rio, sorry if the pics have a bit blurry or pixelated, i just took them using my cam phone, and there mostly taken at night soo...whahaha

anyway...because of this sword alot of people have been asking us if we can make their weapons for them. They want to commission us. whehehehe It's flattering...but the answer is still...no. whahahaha we are not yet confident enough. LOL

so...anway hope this can be of some help to those who plan to make their own Noctis sword.

***by the way, Noctis' sword changes shape. I like it in this form best, that's why I chose to do it in this form and not the more popular squarish one whahahahha

Ahu this is the most helpful thing so far.. I am hoping to cosplay as Noctis as well but his sword is so hard to make. This consisted mostly paper card boards foam and wire right? I need much help with this.. Never made a prop before!!

yup, yung main sword is made or 2 pieces of cardboard (we used an old refrigerator box), then we sandwiched inside the cardboard box wires and barbecue sticks, you line the edges of the sword with the barbecue sticks to prevent it from bending. then for a polished finish cover the whole thing with paper tape XD the foam is for the designs on the sword XD

Hahah the sword part is easy.. but the engine is difficult D:. Sorry if I am asking too many questions but howd you go with the big main circular part?

its okay XD hahaha

the circle in the middle's base was a circular plastic food container, then if i remember correctly the insides was made of cardboard made into a circular shape, more or less its all paper folded and shaped into the desired shape hahahaha then paper taped and sprayed with silver spray paint haahahhahaha

send me a pic when your done XD love to see how it turns out :D
